Teens are bussed to the Club after school and can sign themselves out prior to the Club's closing time of 6:00 p.m. Teens are offered a free snack each day and can take advantage of homework help and tutoring. Volunteering with the younger kids is also an excellent opportunity available to teens who want to make a difference or earn hours for activities, school or college applications.

Yes. Club members are required to complete their homework upon arriving at the Club Monday- Thursday. The Club also employs a Tutoring Coordinator and a team of High School Honors Students to tutor all members periodically in areas needing improvement. The Club tracks report cards and gathers parent portal information in an attempt to best serve members academic needs. Homework help and tutoring is available to teens upon request.
What options does my child have for getting from the school to the Club?
Parents are always welcome to drop their children off at the Club during regularly scheduled program hours.
Somerset Area School District provides bus transportation for children who attend Maple Ridge, Eagle View, Somerset Jr. High School, Somerset High School, and St. Peter's schools. The school MUST be notified of your desire to use bus transportation. Call your child's school to make bus transportation arrangements.
Children from other Somerset County schools are welcome to attend, but transportation must be arranged by the parent or guardian.
My child has a TSS. Is he or she still eligible to become a member of the Boys & Girls Club?
We welcome all age-eligible children to participate in our programs. They are beneficial to any and every child who has the ability and desire to participate. Based on your child's needs, the Club may require TSS services be provided during Club activities in order to ensure your child's safe and enjoyable participation in the program.
